Pinky is getting married to an Indian boy named Teetu, and their marriage is not arranged, which is allowed but not common, in Jess’s mostly Indian neighborhood A few problems arise during the movie, either preventing or prolonging the marriage – these things are often because of Jess’s soccer playing, and Pinky grows increasingly frustrated with Jesminder. Bend It Like Beckham is a 2002 British family romantic comedy sports film produced, written and directed by Gurinder Chadha, and starring Parminder Nagra. Mrs Bhamra is more powerful and influential than Mr Bhamra in the family. Initially, they let Jess play soccer, but when her schooling got more important and she still loved soccer, both the parents try to put a stop to her craze. Pinky, played by Archie Panjabi, is Jesminder’s older sister she is the opposite of Jess. Mrs Bhamra is a strict, traditional Indian mother that wants both her daughters to grow up as traditional Indians.
